Konnected Minds Live 2026: Sponsorship and a Student Campaign in Kumasi
How sponsorship strategy, programme design, a 10-week content campaign and student micro-influencers supported Konnected Minds Live 2026 in Kumasi, which welcomed more than 1,000 attendees in September 2026.
Konnected Minds Live 2026 brought together a community of founders, professionals, students and ambitious young people in Kumasi, and welcomed more than 1,000 attendees in September 2026. PR369 developed the partnerships approach and supported event management, programme design, marketing and publicity for Konnected House. This case study describes what the work involved.
The event
Konnected Minds Live is organised by Konnected House and took place at KNUST in Kumasi. Its audience combined university students with founders and young professionals, so the programme and promotion had to serve both.
PR369's role
- Sponsorship strategy, tiered partnership packages and outreach
- Event management oversight and programme design
- Marketing, PR and website copy
- A 10-week content campaign
- A student micro-influencer campaign
- An SME pitch competition
How the pieces fitted together
Sponsorship. Tiered packages gave partners clear choices based on what the event could deliver. See how to build sponsorship packages around clear deliverables.
Programme. The programme combined learning and networking with participation through the SME pitch competition. See how to design a conference programme around its purpose.
Promotion. A 10-week content campaign built anticipation, while student micro-influencers introduced the event to their own networks on campus. See how to run a campus event campaign.
Result
The event took place in September 2026 and welcomed more than 1,000 attendees. As with any multi-channel campaign, attendance reflects the combined effect of the programme, partners, promotion and the organiser's community rather than any single tactic.
Lessons for other organisers
- Design sponsorship around real capacity, so every promised benefit can be delivered.
- Use peers to reach students. Student creators and ambassadors reach campus audiences credibly.
- Give attendees a role. Competitions and pitch sessions make people participants, not just audiences.
- Plan content over weeks, not days, so the event builds momentum.
